With a weakened immune system, poor Oreo has caught a calicivirus...

1. He's extremely fragile...

Oreo is a twelve-year-old cat, suffering from leukaemia and carrying FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). Therefore, his immune defences are less effective, making him extremely vulnerable!

2. He struggles to eat...

Oreo has chronic calicivirus. As a result, the inside of his mouth is severely inflamed! Eating dry food has become too painful for him. We therefore give him painkiller injections from time to time to ease his discomfort…

3. He lives outdoors…

Terrified of the other cats at the shelter, Oreo refuses to go indoors and lives outside, regardless of the weather. When it rains, he takes shelter as best he can among the bamboo and reeds.

4. A shelter would protect him from the elements

A kennel would provide Oreo with a place to rest. No longer being forced to sleep in the rain and wind would bring him great comfort, especially with the arrival of autumn.

5. We're concerned about the return of the cold weather!

Between kittens, adult cats who are ill and the numerous veterinary expenses, our financial resources are at an all-time low! We need to prepare for the return of the cold and dampness... Your help would be more than welcome to replenish our stock of food, blankets and shelters for our charges!
