Leukaemia, FIV, calicivirus: poor Felix has several significant health issues that are ruining his life!

1. He is very fragile...

Felix is a dozen-year-old cat, who has leukaemia and is a carrier of FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Syndrome). His immune defences are therefore less effective, which makes him considerably fragile!

2. He struggles to eat...

Felix has chronic calicivirus. Because of this, the inside of his mouth is highly inflamed! Eating dry food became too painful for him. We therefore give him painkiller injections from time to time to ease his pain...

3. He lives outdoors...

Terrified by other cats in the refuge, Felix refuses to come indoors and lives outside, regardless of the weather. When it rains, he seeks shelter among the bamboo and reeds as best he can.

4. A shelter would protect him from bad weather

A kennel would provide Felix with a place to settle down and rest. Not having to sleep out in the rain and wind would be a huge comfort for him, with the arrival of autumn.

5. The return of the cold worries us...

Between kittens, sick adult cats, and numerous veterinary expenses, our financial resources are at their lowest! We need to prepare for the return of the cold and damp ... Your help would be more than welcome in order to replenish our stocks of canned food, blankets and shelters for our charges!
