Inflamed gums, anaemia, pelvic fracture: poor Xavier has a lot of health issues!

1. He was gravely injured!

Xavier is a cat of around 12 years, who was found by the local police with a fractured pelvis 15 days ago. He is currently in recovery, but will be lame for the rest of his life.

2. He is weakened...

He was also severely anaemic due to his FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Syndrome) and infested with fleas! So we have de-wormed him and given him vitamins.

3. He has lost a lot of weight due to an inflammation in his mouth...

Sadly, Xavier has a condition called stomatitis. Because of the inflammation in his gums, most of his teeth have become loose.

We give him cortisone injections to alleviate the pain, but he still has great difficulty eating kibble...

4. To recover, he will need canned food

Easier to swallow than kibble, canned food would be perfect for Xavier. Having a diet rich in vitamins, proteins and minerals could help strengthen him. It would also be a good way for him to continue regaining weight.

5. The association is on the edge!

Our financial situation has been greatly affected by significant veterinary expenses. To continue providing blankets, food and shelters for our 91 cats and the 19 kittens that have arrived this year is now almost an impossible mission!
