"I’m caring for 114 dogs at the shelter, and I have almost no kibble left. In the past few weeks we’ve faced nonstop emergencies: rescuing around twenty puppies, taking in several very old dogs, managing heavy surgeries… The shelter is full, the needs keep rising, and the sacks of kibble are disappearing faster and faster.
There is almost nothing left. I’ve already started cutting back portions, trying to calculate how to protect the most vulnerable: puppies, seniors, dogs under treatment. But at the pace the stock is running out, I’ll soon have no choice: everyone will be rationed, all in the same boat… and it won’t be enough to keep them going.
Winter is coming, and here it gets bitterly cold. Temperatures drop far below zero. The dogs need extra food to stay warm. Without kibble, they’ll lose weight, fall ill, and tensions will explode in the kennels. I need kibble now, before things spiral completely out of control."
"The consequences are already here: several dogs are losing weight, and those recovering from treatment can’t regain strength. Their immune systems are failing, they get sick much faster.
Hunger also makes the dogs restless: fights break out over scraps. Every fight means new wounds to treat, more stress for them and for us. All of this could be avoided if each one simply had a full bowl.
If I can’t find kibble quickly, it’s the puppies, the elderly, and the sick who will pay the highest price… It’s a matter of days, not theory."
"Jerronimo is 16 years old, and he has been in the shelter for seven years. Too big, too ‘imposing’ for some, he never had a chance to be adopted. He grew old here… Today, he can barely walk and suffers from chronic eye inflammation.
He is a gentle, calm dog, but he depends entirely on us to get by. At his age, every ration of kibble matters: if he doesn’t eat enough, he quickly loses weight, and his health declines within days.
Without kibble, he has no chance of making it through the winter."
"Financially, the shelter is in the red. Veterinary and food debts are enormous, adoptions have plummeted over the past two years, and every surgery or treatment is a heavy burden on the budget.
We seek help everywhere. The Italian association Zampa Nel Cuore tries to support us, but their aid is unstable, and border logistics often block food donations. Other support is scarce and irregular.
With so few resources, some veterinary care is postponed or reduced to the bare minimum. That’s exactly why this campaign is essential: if the kibble is secured, we can treat on time, avoid relapses, and stabilize the shelter. Your donations fill the bowls and save lives!"
"What keeps me going is seeing the dogs regain strength. When an animal trembling with weakness finds its appetite again, when a gaze softens after a meal, I know every bowl is worth the sacrifice. That’s what gives me the energy to continue, even when I’m exhausted.
Here in Bosnia, reality is harsh: abandonments, emergencies, rescues… it never ends. Every dog that arrives is another mouth to feed, another battle to fight. And it always starts with the same thing: finding kibble. Without it, nothing else is possible.
That’s why your help is essential. Alone, I cannot feed over a hundred dogs. But with your support, everything changes: the bowls fill, illnesses recede, tensions ease, and the dogs find hope again. By giving, you’re not only offering a meal—you’re giving them a chance to live with dignity."
Animal Webaction has a logistic platform in Bosnia which allows us to intervene quickly and deliver kibble.
When a campaign fails, Animal Webaction cannot deliver the products. The beneficiary doesn't receive anything and the buyers are refunded.
