Leukaemia, FIV, calicivirus: poor Felix is suffering from several serious health problems that are making his life miserable!

1. He's extremely fragile...

Felix is a cat of about twelve years old, who has leukaemia and carries FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Syndrome). His immune system is therefore less efficient, making him truly vulnerable!

2. Eating is a struggle for him...

Felix has chronic calicivirus. Because of this, the inside of his mouth is extremely inflamed! Eating dry food has become too painful for him. From time to time, we administer pain relief injections to ease his suffering...

3. He lives outdoors...

Terrified of the other cats at the shelter, Felix refuses to come inside and lives outside, regardless of the weather. When it rains, he takes shelter as best he can amongst the bamboo and reeds.

4. Blankets would keep him warm

A bundle of blankets would provide Felix with a place to rest. No longer having to sleep directly on the cold, damp ground would bring him significant comfort, especially with winter approaching.

5. The return of cold weather worries us...

Between kittens, adult cats who are ill and the numerous veterinary bills, our financial resources are at an all-time low! We need to prepare for the return of cold and wet weather... Your help would be more than welcome in replenishing our stocks of food, blankets, and shelters for our charges!
