With his immune system weakened, poor Oreo has caught a calicivirus...

1. He is very fragile...

Oreo is a cat of about twelve years old, who has leukaemia and is a carrier of FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Syndrome). His immune defenses are thus less efficient, making him very vulnerable!

2. He struggles to eat!

Oreo has chronic calicivirus. Due to this, the inside of his mouth is extremely inflamed! Eating dry food has become too painful for him. We therefore occasionally give him painkiller injections to relieve him...

3. He lives outside...

Scared of the other cats at the shelter, Oreo refuses to go inside and lives outdoors, regardless of the weather. When it rains, he seeks shelter as best he can among the bamboo and reeds.

4. Blankets would keep him warm

A set of blankets would provide Oreo with a place to rest. No longer having to sleep directly on the damp and cold ground would be of great comfort to him, especially with the onset of autumn.

5. The return of cold weather is a concern for us!

Between the kittens, the adult cats who are ill, and the numerous veterinary expenses, our financial resources are at an all-time low! We need to prepare for the return of the cold and damp weather... Your help would be more than welcome in order to replenish our stocks of food, blankets, and shelters for our furry friends!
