Suffering from tongue cancer, poor Mina can no longer eat normally!

1. Cancer prevents her from eating normally...

Mina is a 12-year-old cat, that we rescued with her litter when she was young. Unfortunately, she suffers from a cancer of the tongue, which cannot be surgically treated without removing her entire tongue. Due to this tumour, she can no longer eat solid food and must be fed on liquid food in the form of soup or cream.

2. She has suffered from ataxia since a young age

In addition to her feeding issues, Mina has been suffering from ataxia since she was young. She couldn't walk when we rescued her, but we gradually managed to teach her. Now, she walks and takes care of herself, assisted by her fellow cats. Her ataxia has meant that no potential adopter has ever wanted to take her, and our shelter has become her home.

3. Prepared soup from canned food would enable her to eat

Canned cat food, which is very soft and appetising, could easily be transformed into a soup to help Mina eat easily. This liquid diet would allow her to receive all the nutrients she needs, despite her cancer preventing her from eating normally.

4. Prices are soaring and we have many animals to feed...

We look after 30 cats at home, plus around sixty in foster homes, not including all the stray cats fed by our volunteers... Our vet bills amount to between 3000 and 4000 euros per month, and the cost of food is constantly increasing, making our mission more and more difficult.
