Scarred by the past, Toscane often gets foot abscesses!

1. She's losing condition!

Toscane is a 24 year-old mare, entrusted to us by her owner who could not keep her. She's a little lacking in condition, but as she's of an advanced age, she struggles to put weight back on. Grass and hay are not enough for her...

2. She frequently suffers from hoof abscesses...

When she was young, Toscane had an accident that injured one of her hooves. Since then, one of her hooves remains vulnerable. She frequently gets abscesses, which we need to closely monitor...

3. Pellets would help rebuild her strength

Supplementing Toscane's diet with pellets might just perk her up. It would be an effective means for her to replenish important nutrients in order for her to gain a little weight. We would moisten them for her, to ensure she has no trouble ingesting them.

4. Our charges count on us!

The situation remains very challenging, to such an extent that we had to halt new arrivals.

With little grass this year and lacking resources, we've had to put some animals on a hay diet... A helping hand with the pellets would be a real support for the most fragile among us!
