Poor Grout is too thin from illness, he just can’t gain weight!

1. He doesn't properly assimilate what he eats…

Grout is a 3-year-old cat rescued by our association when he was just a kitten. He suffers from a problem at the junction between the intestine and the stomach, which prevents him from properly assimilating the food he consumes. Thanks to B12 supplementation, he no longer suffers from diarrhoea, but he remains very thin and struggles to gain weight.

2. Canned food would help him assimilate as many nutrients as possible

In order to maintain his health, Grout needs to eat a large quantity of food. While he doesn't assimilate well, he certainly doesn't lack an appetite! A moist and rich diet like canned cat food would be ideal for Grout. It's easier to digest than dry food, and it would allow him to assimilate as many nutrients as possible despite his condition.

3. Prices are skyrocketing and we have many mouths to feed…

We care for 30 cats in-house, plus around sixty more in foster care, not to mention all the strays fed by our volunteers... Our veterinary bills amount to between 3000 and 4000 euros per month, and with the perpetually rising cost of pet food, making our mission ever more difficult.
