Exhaustion, weight loss: poor Pomme is suffering from kidney failure!

1. Her kidneys aren't functioning very well...

Pomme is a 14-year-old cat, who recently seemed to become but a shadow of her former self. We took her in and had her tested to find out more.

Unfortunately, she has kidney failure. Her creatinine and urea levels are high, so she's extremely tired and has lost a lot of weight, particularly in her hind quarters. We're medicating her in the hopes of stabilising her condition.

2. Canned food would help her regain strength

Wet food that's specifically formulated for her needs would provide Pomme with a healthy source of energy. Designed to be easy on the kidneys, this type of canned food would supply her with all the nutrients she needs without risk. It could also help her gradually put on some weight.

3. The return of the cold worries us!

Between kittens, sick adult cats, and a slew of vet bills, our funds are stretched to the limit! We need to prepare for the return of cold, damp weather... Your help would be more than welcome in replenishing our supplies of food, blankets, and shelters for our charges!
