Bowie's gums were so inflamed that she stopped eating... she was skeletal!

1. She can no longer eat dry food...

Bowie is a four-year-old cat, who has highly inflamed gums. She lost a considerable amount of weight because she couldn't feed herself!

So, we had some of her teeth removed to alleviate her pain (only her fangs remain). Today, she's completely unable to eat dry food, as she can't chew them.

2. Canned food would help her regain weight

A moist diet could greatly help Bowie. Not only would it allow her to regain strength easily, but this sort of nutrition would also keep her well hydrated. In this way, she could progressively get better.

3. Veterinary expenses have drained our budget...

Many of our cats have calicivirus and require expensive nutrition. Our financial means are unfortunately at their lowest, as we had significant veterinary expenses recently.

Online fundraising has been initiated, but what we have collected so far is far from enough to replenish our supplies...
