1. A significant stress has weakened him...

Tiger is a cat of about 10 years old, whom we took in following the death of his owner. To lose all his bearings overnight led him into a depression, so much so that he lost significant weight... Because of the stress, his immune defences even weakened!

2. An inflammation in the mouth hinders his eating...

Vulnerable, Tiger contracted a calicivirus. We are providing medical care and have had some of his teeth removed to ease his discomfort.

Sadly, he frequently has mouth ulcers, salivates a lot and coughs up blood. Eating kibble is very difficult for him...

3. Canned food would help him eat without pain

A moist food diet for senior cats would be less irritating to Tiger's oral mucosa than kibble. He would simply need to swallow the mush without the need to chew.

4. We are overwhelmed...

In just two years, our number of charges has increased by 70. Between the 320 stray cats and the 35 moggies of Le Chat Libre Marseille, our food budget has sky-rocketed!

In total, we now have around 8,000 euros in food costs and 36,000 euros of veterinary expenses. Unfortunately, memberships are declining and people are making fewer donations due to inflation...
