Leukaemia, FIV, calicivirus: poor Felix has several serious health problems ruining his life!

1. He's very frail...

Felix is a dozen years old cat, battling Leukaemia and carrying FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Syndrome). His immune defences are therefore weakened, making him highly susceptible to illnesses!

2. He struggles to eat...

Felix has chronic Calicivirus. Because of this, the inside of his mouth is inflamed. Eating dry food has become too painful for him. To relieve him, we often give him painkiller injections...

3. He lives outdoors...

Fearing other cats in the shelter, Felix refuses to come inside and lives outdoors, regardless of the weather. When it rains, he seeks shelter amid the bamboo and reeds as best he can.

4. Canned food would make his meals less troublesome

Providing Felix with suitable wet food for his age would allow him to replenish vital nutrients daily. This would enable him to maintain a stable weight and retain some energy in spite of his mouth issues. It would be a real relief for him!

5. We're worried about the coming cold weather...

Between the kittens, sick adult cats, and numerous veterinary expenses, our resources are stretched to the limit! We need to prepare for the arrival of the cold, damp weather... Your assistance would be more than welcome in replenishing our food supplies, blankets and shelters for our charges!
