Gregoire is a tomcat of about 10 years old, who lived on the streets. He was reported because he was injured and prostrated under a bush... We had him treated and neutered this summer: despite all our efforts, Gregoire refuses any contact and must therefore live outside. Since no one claimed him, a volunteer has kept him in her garden to protect him as much as possible.
Gregoire is positive for FIV, the cat equivalent of AIDS, which significantly weakens his immune system. He suffered from a facial abscess that needed to be cleaned and disinfected several times. He also has a scar under the eye, because the suture did not hold. Because of the disease, his wounds have a lot of trouble healing...
A kennel would provide Gregoire with a place to take refuge in case of heavy rain or wind. He would be well sheltered there, and could benefit from more restorative rest. It would be essential to allow him to heal despite his weakened immunity!
Our small association has been working since December 2019 to help cats. We feed 166 free cats every day, and we take care of weaned or not kittens, domestic cats and wild cats. We also conduct sterilisation campaigns.
The end of the summer has exhausted our reserves, and we have had heavy veterinary costs for complicated situations. We need help to continue providing food for all our proteges!
