Traumatised by a fire, young Baloo had part of his fur singed!

1. He was burned...

Baloo is a one-year-old cat, who was found at one of the burned sites. Part of his fur was burnt in the fire.

We took him to the vet, where he received inhalations and an antibiotic injection, to prevent his burns from becoming infected.

2. He now lives outdoors!

Baloo is so wild that he could not bear to stay indoors. Therefore, he had to be released back to his original site. However, there is nothing left there, as all the trees were burned! He has nowhere left to shelter...

3. A kennel would protect him from the weather

A kennel would offer Baloo a roof over his head, whilst still allowing him to come and go as he pleases. He could take refuge there and enjoy a little cocoon all to himself, after the horror he had been through. It would also shelter him from the wind and rain.

4. The fires caused a real carnage...

Following the fires in the Aude region, our association had to take in many cases. Two feeding sites were affected, and many cats were severely burned!

We are placing them in foster homes as and when, but it is quite difficult, as we are already lacking space. We also do not have the resources to purchase food, blankets and kennels for all these felines who urgently need them...
