Poor Rambo's paw got caught in a trap and he had to be amputated due to gangrene!

1. Caught in a trap, he had to have a leg amputated and still suffers from intestinal damage!

Rambo is a year and a half old cat who we took in a month ago. The poor thing had fallen into a trap and was stuck there for a week without anything to eat or drink. By the time he reached us, he was nothing but skin and bones!

His leg was so badly infected that we had to amputate it. He also has ongoing complications from the time he went without food, and frequently suffers from diarrhoea.

2. Specialised canned food would allow him to regain some weight

A highly digestible diet designed to help the intestines regenerate would be perfect for Rambo.

In addition to rehydrating him, such canned food would provide all the nutrients his body needs to regain weight. This source of energy would be invaluable for him to learn to live with his disability!

3. We can't cope!

Our organisation is continuously being asked to take new cases. We were forced to buy dry food ourselves for the free-living cats, so we no longer have the budget to buy specialised canned food for the cats who need it.
