Struck by a car, poor Cookie then fell ill...

1. He had an accident!

Cookie is a cat of about nine years old, whom we found on the street, after he was hit by a car. He is carrying FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Syndrome) and had mild cat flu, which we managed to treat.

2. He almost didn't make it...

Cookie also suffers from gingivostomatitis: his gums are very inflamed and he had a 41°C fever, he had difficulty eating and had lost so much weight that he had to be hospitalised on several occasions...

We therefore give him four injections of anti-inflammatory and anti-infective drugs each year to relieve him.

3. Canned food would help him healthily regain his strength

A wet diet specifically tailored to his age would be perfect for Cookie. Highly digestible and easy to consume, such food would provide him with precious nutrients. He could thus regain weight.

4. Keeping our heads above water is proving difficult...

We are going through a tough time: the association is over its capacity, because we have a huge number of sick cats to manage and no subsidies. All that we got from the town hall has gone into care... We therefore no longer have the means to buy food for our charges!
