Kidney issues, aftermath of a calicivirus: Old Emile needs a tailored diet!

1. His kidneys are worn out!

Emile is an old, outdoor-living cat, struggling with chronic kidney disease. As his kidneys are worn out, they struggle to flush toxic waste from his system... Consequently, he's often tired and spends a lot of his time sleeping.

2. He barely has any teeth left...

In addition to this, Emile has to cope with a calicivirus that's damaged his mouth. He hardly has any teeth left, making meal times particularly challenging: he can't eat dry kibbles at all.

3. To recover strength peacefully, he needs suitable canned food

Canned cat food would be much more suitable for Emile than dry kibbles. It would allow him to eat without pain, whilst putting less pressure on his weakened kidneys. This easier-to-consume food would help him maintain his strength, despite his advanced age.

4. We're running out of resources!

We've taken several cats into our care who were in horrific states. Unfortunately, we've found people are generally reluctant to donate, leaving us seriously short of budget to cover veterinary expenses and food purchases!
