Tikita is a little three-year-old cat, who arrived at the shelter at the age of two months with a severe case of cat flu. Unfortunately, the disease left her blind: she had to have an eye removed and the other can no longer see. Today, she can no longer jump or climb, but she remains courageous and manages well.
Tikita is monitored each time her cat flu recurs, as it has become chronic. She also suffered from an aural haematoma due to ear mites. These repeated episodes are tough for her and require constant care.
A shelter would allow Tikita to have a fixed reference point where she could take refuge. With her loss of sight, she needs a stable and secure shelter where she can feel protected. This would be essential for her well-being!
Our association does not receive any subsidies and is left without any funds. With about 200 cats to feed, the situation is critical. We are facing numerous abandonments and sadly have to refuse taking on more cats due to lack of space. A heavy veterinary debt that we are repaying slowly further complicates our situation…
