The association Les Mimichats decided to move forward the ending date of their campaign because the quantity left in their stock of canned food is highly critical.

Stricken by a severe calicivirus, Ibis is extremely thin!

1. Difficulty in eating due to the calicivirus!

Ibis is a cat of about five years of age, who has a severe calicivirus. The inside of his mouth is so inflamed that he struggles to eat. The poor thing is extremely thin! We therefore give him cortisone periodically to alleviate his discomfort.

2. Canned food would enable him to regain weight quickly

A moist and nutritious diet would provide Ibis with what he needs to recharge his energy without experiencing pain. Having access to such food daily would help him to regain weight, guiding him towards a healthier condition. This could kickstart a positive cycle for him.

3. Epidemics are rampant...

There are so many stray cats that we're planning a sterilisation campaign to control their numbers. As they live outdoors, it's exceedingly difficult to curtail epidemics...

This year, many have contracted the calicivirus! All told, we're caring for no fewer than 45 cats in need...
