The association Les Mimichats decided to move forward the ending date of their campaign because the quantity left in their stock of canned food is highly critical.

Pixie lives outdoors, even though she's suffering from calicivirus and is greatly weakened!

1. She's struggling to eat due to calicivirus!

Pixie is a cat of approximately six years old, who has recently caught a severe strain of calicivirus. The inside of her mouth is so inflamed that she drools excessively and finds it difficult to eat. As a result, we're intending to give her cortisone to provide her with some relief.

2. She lives outdoors with nowhere to take shelter...

Pixie lives outside, in a feeding site. The surroundings are damp and offer no suitable locations to take refuge, other than a few shrubs... With the intensifying cold, we're extremely worried about Pixie!

3. Canned food could help her get through this winter

A wet and nutritious diet would provide Pixie with the chance to replenish her energy without experiencing pain. Having such food on a daily basis would also help her to better withstand the cold. This would be a real support for her!

4. Epidemics are running rampant...

There are so many stray cats that we're planning to launch a sterilisation campaign to curb their proliferation. As they live outdoors, it's extremely challenging to keep the epidemics under control...

This year, many cats have caught calicivirus! Altogether, we're caring for no fewer than 45 needy tomcats...
