Fall from the fourth floor, typhus, loss of sight: at only 6 months, poor Athena has already been through numerous trials!

1. She fractured her pelvis!

Athena is a six-month-old kitten who fell from the fourth floor. Poor thing fractured her pelvis and had to be immobilised for two months while her wound healed...

2. She caught typhus and temporarily lost her sight...

Athena unfortunately contracted typhus, causing her to lose her sight for three weeks. She also had to be put on a nasal feeding tube because she refused to eat for a month.

Still suffering from severe diarrhoea, she only weighs 1.7 kg. Her rectum started to protrude (prolapse), so surgery was necessary...

3. Blankets would keep her warm while she recovers

A set of blankets would help Athena conserve her body heat effectively this winter. Already so weakened, being comforted with a little warmth and comfort would help her recover. Her rest would become more revitalizing, aiding her recovery.

4. Vet bills are draining our budget!

Between giardia cases, injured cats, those with cat flu, ringworm, or calicivirus... the vet bills are astounding! We also still have a lot of kittens to take care of, which just complicates everything financially!
