Emaciation, conjunctivitis, damaged teeth: poor Caramel lives outside, even though he's old and sick!

1. He has a very delicate health!

Caramel is a cat, around 12 years old, whom we trapped in an urban area. Old, he has arthritis and is missing some teeth.

As he is weakened by FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Syndrome), he has chronic conjunctivitis and his eyes are often watering. Because of all this, he is so skinny and can't gain weight...

2. He lives outdoors...

Caramel is extremely skittish, to the point that he can't live indoors. We placed him in a secure location, but there is not enough shelter there for all the toms present.

As he is old and finds it hard to assert himself, he often ends up getting caught in the rain...

3. A kennel would protect him from the elements

A kennel would be a real sanctuary for Caramel in case of wind or heavy rain. Better sheltered from the cold and humidity, he'd get more restful sleep, which would benefit him daily.

4. We're in a tight spot...

We always do a lot of cat rescues, which often come in catastrophic conditions. Donations are not bouncing back and we haven't got any subsidies. Paying for all the care, food and warm keeping is almost mission impossible!
