Testing positive for feline AIDS, poor Grégoire is struggling to heal from his injuries!

1. He was found injured and sick...

Gregoire is a tomcat of approximately 10 years old who was living on the streets. He was reported because he was injured and cowering under a bush... We had him treated and neutered this summer: despite all our efforts, Gregoire avoids all contact and therefore has to live outside. Since no one claimed him, a volunteer has taken him into her garden to protect him as much as possible.

2. His injuries heal slowly due to FIV

Gregoire is FIV positive, the cat equivalent of HIV, which weakens his immune system considerably. He suffered from a facial abscess that had to be cleaned and disinfected several times. He also has a scar under his eye, because the suture did not hold. Because of his illness, his wounds struggle to heal...

3. Canned food would help him regain his strength

A diet suitable for senior cats would allow Gregoire to regain energy healthily. Canned food rich in essential nutrients would strengthen his body, which has been weakened by the virus, and enhance his ability to fight off infections.

4. Our reserves are depleted!

Our small association has been operating since December 2019 to help cats. We feed 166 stray cats every day, and we care for weaned kittens and those not yet weaned, domestic cats and feral cats. We also conduct sterilisation campaigns.

At the end of the summer our reserves were depleted, and we had significant veterinary costs for complicated cases. We need help to continue feeding all our charges!
