Ulcer on the tongue, missing teeth, gum inflammation: sadly, Tsuco has a severe case of calicivirus!

1. Inflammation in the mouth is impeding her from eating...

Tsuco is a two-and-a-half-year-old female cat who is suffering from calicivirus. To alleviate the inflammation in her mouth, all her teeth have been removed. Sadly, she still has a very large ulcer on her tongue and is unable to consume dry foods.

We have administered pain relief injections to her to ensure she is not in pain. As she is quite timid, we will soon need to release her back to her original site...

2. Blankets to help keep her warm

A collection of blankets would provide Tsuco with a comfortable resting spot. By helping her maintain her body temperature, the blankets would allow her to benefit from a deeper sleep this winter. All of this would assist her in regaining her strength!

3. We’re caught in a vicious cycle...

We're dealing with a high number of cats suffering from illnesses, particularly calicivirus. Feral cats pass the virus between them because they have low immunity! Veterinary costs have increased tenfold in recent months, impacting our budget for food...
