Calicivirus, fleas, diarrhoea: poor Isis was in a critical condition and is struggling to recover!

1. She was in a pitiful state...

Isis is a cat of about 10 years, who was found lifeless a month ago, in the middle of the countryside. Infested with fleas, she was suffering from diarrhoea and was skeletal! We subsequently dewormed her and placed her in a safe place.

2. She has cat flu!

Isis has cat flu, which is not improving despite the treatments. Her nose is running and she sneezes a lot. The poor thing is exhausted!

3. She has difficulties eating...

Upon her arrival, Isis took 6 days to start eating again, due to a severe case of calicivirus. Since then, her gums have remained very inflamed and infected.

She also has ulcers on her tongue and loose teeth. As she is still thin and frail, we can't operate on her (and perform a dental extraction) to alleviate her pain...

4. Canned food would help her regain her strength

A wet, appetising and easily ingested food would allow Isis to replenish her energy, despite the state of her teeth and the inflammation of her gums. It would be a good way to help her intestines regenerate while making her regain weight.

5. It's a financial disaster!

Since spring 2025, the number of cases we are dealing with has multiplied. The number of abandoned animals continues to grow, and we are faced with many veterinary emergencies. Financially, the situation for the association is disastrous!
