Chronic lymphedema, Cushing’s disease, weight loss… Turquoise is exhausted by all she’s been through!

1. She's extremely frail...

Turquoise, a 17-year-old mare, was initially destined for the slaughterhouse. She has had to undergo two surgeries on all four hooves due to chronic lymphedema. For about five and a half years, daily dressings have been needed: her leg swells and oozes, requiring regular disinfection and bandaging.

Turquoise has also been diagnosed with Cushing's disease. As a result, she has experienced muscle wasting, poor moulting, and some degree of deterioration in health...

3. Pellets would help her stay stable

To counteract her deteriorating condition and provide support to her weakened body, Turquoise requires suitable nutritional supplementation. Pellets can provide her with the energy and nutrients she is lacking in order to better cope with her various health issues.

4. The association is in great difficulty!

Our association has been in existence for more than 10 years. In total, we care for approximately 150 animals, excluding hens. Without subsidies and with very few donations, it's becoming increasingly difficult to keep going!
