Patou is a ten-year-old cat, who turned up overnight on a plot of land a year ago. He is suffering from calicivirus and cat flu. These illnesses have taken a severe toll on his health, and the exposure to cold only worsens his condition...

2. Blankets would keep him warm

Blankets would enable Patou to retain his body heat more effectively during the night when temperatures drop. It would be a good way for him to stay protected from cold and dampness, enabling him to better combat his illnesses.

3. Veterinary costs are making a heavy dent in our budget...

We are a small organisation: I volunteer and handle the veterinary bills for the stray cats I look after. This puts a financial strain on us, particularly at the end of each month. With the arrival of winter, the needs of my charges increase, but my resources remain limited...
