In a state of severe thinness, Alphonse is not doing well at all...

1. He's having a hard time eating...

Alphonse is a cat of about 10 years old, who has no teeth left due to calicivirus. Since he has developed ulcers in his mouth, he drools a lot and struggles to eat. Poor Alphonse is just skin and bones now!

2. He's harbouring a serious illness...

Alphonse's emaciation can partly be explained by his inability to digest the proteins contained in his food.

From the results of the tests, the vet suspects the onset of cancer or an autoimmune disease. Unfortunately, there isn't a possible treatment...

3. He lives outdoors...

Due to the lack of foster homes, and as Alphonse is very wild, he currently lives outdoors on a secure site. This dwelling is just a makeshift shelter made of a few wooden planks that are leaking...

4. To manage despite the illness, he will need suitable canned food

Canned food, tailored to his age, would be perfect for Alphonse. Easy to consume and highly nutritious, such a diet would help him regain strength every day.

Thus, he would have the energy to carry on, despite the illness and the cold winter. Meal times would become a daily comfort for him!

5. Donations are drastically dropping!

Our association sterilises stray cats and rehomes the friendliest ones. To feed them, we organise collections, but these have been less successful recently. With the economic crisis, people have fewer resources, which directly impacts the donations!
