"Right now, I’m caring for around 175 dogs at the shelter. The number has gone down a bit recently, but that’s not good news. Two puppies died after contracting parvovirus… They were very young. We do everything we can, we fight for them, but sometimes it’s not enough. These are incredibly hard moments, the kind that leave a deep mark. And despite that, you have to keep going, get back up, because the other dogs are still here, and they depend entirely on me.
Today, what worries me most is food. The kibble stock is running out and, for several days now, I’ve had to start reducing portions. I count the bags, I think through every meal. Giving less, knowing they don’t have enough, is very hard to accept, but I have no other choice. This worry is constant, it never leaves me.
With winter, it’s even more complicated. It’s cold, it rains, and the dogs need to eat more to get through it. Yet I’m forced to give them less... After meals, I can clearly see they haven’t eaten enough. They don’t lie down, they stay standing, they wait. As if they were still hoping for a little more food..."

"Right now, several dogs at the shelter are suffering from cancer. It’s extremely hard to live with. This disease gives no respite. I know they need strength to hold on, but food is lacking... This reality never leaves me.
The hardest part is that I can’t always give them everything they need. There’s food, there’s care, medication… and sometimes, everything is missing at the same time. Physically, I’m exhausted. The days are long, there are so many dogs to feed, to clean, to treat. Emotionally, every shortage is a huge weight on my heart, because my dogs depend entirely on me.
I live with this pressure constantly. Food has become my main source of anxiety. I know that without kibble, even with all the will in the world, I can’t do more. This situation is eating away at me, and today, I feel deeply helpless."

"Maca has been at the shelter for about a month. I found her on the street in a pitiful state. Believe it or not, she was in even worse condition than she is today, which says a lot. She suffers from very advanced mange. She itches all over her body, she scratches constantly. She is extremely thin, and the illness exhausts her.
Today, Maca is undergoing treatment, but she is far from out of danger. The care is ongoing, and it takes time. For her body to repair itself, she needs to eat properly. Without sufficient nutrition, her recovery cannot move forward. Food is part of the treatment, just as much as the medication!"

"Financially, the situation is extremely complicated. I have debts everywhere, simply to keep the shelter running. There are unpaid bills at the pharmacy, at the vet, not to mention heavy treatments, like chemotherapy for some dogs. There is also a significant debt at the kibble store, because I often buy on credit when I have no other choice.
On top of that, there are all the daily expenses that never stop. I have to pay for waste removal, electricity, and the people who help me at the shelter. When kibble runs out, I also have to buy basic products like rice or pasta to feed the dogs. These are essential expenses that can’t be postponed, even when there’s no money left. Everything continues, day after day.
When money runs out, it directly affects the dogs’ food. I’m forced to reduce quantities because I can’t buy more kibble. Buying on credit is sometimes possible, but only in very few places, and with very strict limits. The problem is that today, I’ve reached all of those limits. Without this kibble campaign, there is simply no other solution to feed my dogs..."

"Here in Morocco, street dogs have no chance without help. Many arrive already broken, exhausted, worn down by life on the streets. So I move forward, day after day. I treat them, I feed them, I clean, I start again. I keep going because I don’t know how to do otherwise. But believe me, it’s really not easy.
There are days when I’m physically exhausted, and others when my mind just can’t keep up. After living with them for so long, I feel what the dogs feel: their fear, their waiting, their fatigue. All of it passes through me too. I learn to hold on, to endure, but of course, it leaves marks.
One thing is certain, if my dogs could receive this kibble, everything would change. They could finally eat properly, receive the care they need, and live in a more stable, safer place. Finally have a real chance. Every handful of kibble truly changes their future. And for me, I could finally breathe a little. Stop waking up and falling asleep with this knot of fear in my stomach..."
