Poor Marou no longer has any teeth and can't manage to eat hay anymore...

1. He can no longer chew…

Marou is an approximately 10 year old Ouessant sheep who was found wandering and fending for himself on a piece of land.

With age, he has lost all his teeth and can no longer eat hay properly: he only manages to swallow very fine hay, which is insufficient to keep him healthy. Without supplementation, he loses weight very quickly and becomes extremely fragile!

2. Pellets would help him get through this winter

A daily pellet supplement would ideally help Marou gain weight and stabilise.

Once dampened, they are easy to ingest and would provide him with the fibre, vitamins and minerals he needs. This would help him be more resistant to temperature fluctuations.

3. The lack of grass penalises us…

Currently, we are facing high veterinary costs, following new arrivals. Unfortunately, the grass has not yet regrown and our hay reserves are dwindling… With about 120 animals to manage, the situation is quickly becoming critical!
