Inflamed gums, sticky eyes: poor Okao lives outside whilst he is sick!

1. A virus interferes with his eating…

Okao is a cat of about four years old, who has a calicivirus. His eyes are gummed up, and he struggles to eat because his gums are sometimes painful... Poor thing is so thin!

He is very timid and it’s difficult to catch him for treatment. In order to help him, we add pills to his food, hoping to alleviate his discomfort somewhat…

2. He lives outdoors!

Okao lives in the countryside, in a garden. The location is very exposed to the wind, making the winters particularly difficult…

3. A cat house would provide him with much-needed shelter

With a cat house all to himself, Okao would have a safe spot to escape from the wind. Better protected from the elements, he could sleep more comfortably and face the winter with greater ease.

4. There is a severe outbreak of calicivirus amongst our cats!

Our association receives very limited donations. With around thirty cats to care for, new admissions, and a calicivirus outbreak, we’re starting to run out of funds for food...
