Becoming blind, poor Titine is difficult to treat!

1. She's becoming blind

Titine is a 17-year-old Comtoise mare, who was destined for the slaughterhouse. We rescued her many years ago to spare her from this fate. Unfortunately, she suffers from a genetic anomaly causing serious eye problems (keratitis and glaucoma). Titine is slowly going blind...

2. Caring for her is very challenging

Since Titine was never broken in, providing her care remains very complicated. We need to find ways to approach her and gain her trust to administer her treatments. Without this, her health could quickly worsen...

3. Pellets could lure her in for treatment

Using pellets could be a successful strategy in attracting Titine and thereby facilitating the administration of her daily care. In addition, with winter coming, thoughtful dietary supplement, like these pellets and hay, will be beneficial. Providing her with such nutrition will help her maintain strength despite her condition.

4. We're swamped by the vet's bills!

This month, we’ve had to contend with 2000 euros in veterinary costs: 900 euros for hospitalisation in an attempt to save a cat suffering from liver failure, 500 euros for first-time vaccinations and care for kittens, 300 euros for anti-parasitics... on top of a 300 euros consultation for Titine. We really need a helping hand with the feed costs!
