1. He's lost a lot of weight due to illness!

Sawyer is a six-year-old cat, whose immune system has been weakened by FIV. Sadly, he caught calicivirus and stomatitis, causing him mouth ulcers and inflammation.

As this has hampered his eating, he has lost a lot of weight! We had to extract some of his teeth to alleviate his discomfort, meaning he can no longer eat dry food.

2. Canned food would help him regain better form

To regain strength, Sawyer will need food that's easy to swallow. Canned food would be perfect for him to replenish his daily energy without pain. Thus strengthened, he could return to a more stable weight.

3. We're in a vicious cycle...

We have many sick cats, especially with calicivirus. The stray cats transmit it to each other, as they have weak immune systems! Veterinary costs have thus skyrocketed in recent months, which is impacting our food budget...
