Emaciation, conjunctivitis, damaged teeth: poor Caramel lives outside, despite being old and ill!

1. He has a very fragile health...

Caramel is a cat of about 12 years old whom we trapped in a town. Aged, he suffers from arthritis and is missing some teeth.

As his health is further weakened by feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV), he has chronic conjunctivitis and his eyes leak a lot. Due to all this, he is very thin and struggles to put on weight...

2. He lives outdoors...

Caramel is extremely skittish, so much so that he can't bear to live indoors. We've placed him in a secure location, but there aren't enough shelters there for all the tomcats present.

As he is old and has difficulty asserting himself, he often ends up out in the rain...

3. Blankets would keep him warm

A set of blankets would be a precious help to aid Caramel in maintaining his body heat more easily. Better protected from the cold and damp, he would benefit from more restorative rest, which would help him daily.

4. It’s a disaster...

We always end up rescuing many cats, who often arrive in disastrous conditions. Donations are dwindling and we don’t receive any funding. Paying for all the caring, food, and items necessary to keep them warm is almost an impossible task…!
