Weakened by illness and life outdoors, Papinou struggles to stay in shape...

1. He is weakened by a chronic disease!

Papinou is a 12-year-old cat, who was found two years ago with many wounds all over his body. We healed his injuries, but today he is suffering from hyperthyroidism, a disease which makes him very thin despite his appetite.

He is currently undergoing veterinary treatment, crucial for his overall health balance, but his organism remains delicate and demands constant attention.

2. He sleeps outdoors...

Papinou lives outdoors, in front of the house of a food provider. Although he is partially sheltered by a pergola, he is still badly exposed to the cold, wind and dampness, which does no good for his health!

3. Blankets would provide some crucial warmth

A set of blankets would be perfect to keep Papinou warm this winter. Soft and clean, they would provide him a comfortable spot where he could settle down to rest. It would be a real relief for him not to have to sleep directly on the ground!

4. The expenses are massive!

Our association has been running since 1988. At the moment, we are providing food and keeping an eye on over 400 tomcats! This represents extensive expenses and the bills are colossal...But the subsidies remain very low. We are not coping anymore!
