Abandoned deep in the forest, Blackie still carries the scars from his life outdoors!

1. He was abandoned in the middle of a forest...

We took in Blackie in 2017: he had been abandoned in the forest, was skinny and starving... He was also smaller than normal for his age. He remains highly territorial, and does not understand feline communication codes, which complicates things with other cats. Even today, Blackie spends a large part of his time outdoors.

2. With a shelter, he could seek refuge in safety

A shelter would provide Blackie with his very own place outside, where he could hide in case of bad weather, and rest up whenever necessary. He could rest there peacefully, shielded from the cold and rain: it would make him feel more secure on a daily basis.

3. The association's income is no longer sufficient...

We care for many long-term foster cats because they are too ill or too wild to be adopted. We also manage the feeding and care of numerous free cats that we have identified and sterilised. Our only income comes from small sales, infrequent pet-sitting services, and a single sponsorship... Without any grants or adoptions, we are struggling to cover the costs...
