Emaciation, conjunctivitis, damaged teeth: poor Caramel lives outdoors, even though he is old and sick!

1. He has a very fragile health...

Caramel is a cat of about 12 years, whom we trapped in a city. Aged, he has arthritis and is missing some teeth.

As he is weakened by FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Syndrome), he has chronic conjunctivitis and his eyes water a lot. Because of all this, he is very skinny and finds it difficult to gain weight...

2. He lives outdoors...

Caramel is extremely wild, so much so that he can't handle living indoors. We've placed him in a secure location, but there aren't enough shelters there for all the toms present.

Being old and finding it difficult to impose himself, Caramel often finds himself in the rain...

3. Canned food would help him gain weight

A diet specially designed for senior cats would give Caramel the means to replenish his energy. This would be a good way for him to stay hydrated and strengthen himself, in order to gradually regain weight.

4. We're in trouble...

We always have lots of cats to rescue, who often arrive in catastrophic condition. Donations are not picking up and we don't have any subsidies. Paying for all the care, food, and keeping them warm is almost an impossible mission!
