1. In Morocco, Kawthar has almost run out of kibble to feed the 130 stray cats who depend on her. They will starve if no one helps!

%%%

"Today, I’m caring for around 130 stray cats… and the number just keeps growing. There are abandonments, new litters arriving constantly, and right now several females are still pregnant. Honestly, it feels like it never ends. And the worst part is that I’ve almost run out of kibble. The stock has been empty for a while, and what I managed to buy recently was only enough to last a few days.

I’ve already been reducing portions for some time, but now it’s truly critical. The cats eat, but not enough. Some are still waiting after meals, searching, scratching. You can clearly see they’re hungry. This winter was very harsh, the cold weakened them a lot, and without enough food, they can’t recover.

I’m really worried. I feel overwhelmed. There are so many of them, they all rely on me… and I just can’t keep up anymore. If I don’t find kibble quickly, the situation will get worse very fast."

2. The stray cats are deteriorating, falling ill: without kibble, the weakest will not survive.

###

"The effects of the lack of kibble are already visible. The cats are thinner, weaker. Some were already fragile, and now they’re declining even more. They don’t have the same energy anymore, they get sick more easily, and above all they struggle to recover…

Their behavior is changing too. They’re more nervous, more restless, constantly looking for food. At times, there are tensions between them, because each one is trying to survive. You can feel that hunger is pushing them to the limit, and it’s becoming dangerous for them out on the streets...

What scares me is what comes next. If this continues, the weakest won’t make it. Even the others will eventually become exhausted. I see them like this every day… and I feel completely helpless."

3. Cinéma is battling multiple infections and has no strength left: he depends on kibble to survive.

###

"Cinéma is a cat I’ve been feeding on the street for some time. Today, he is in a very worrying condition. He suffers from calicivirus, he also has a respiratory infection affecting his eyes, and his teeth are in poor shape. He has already been hospitalized… and recently, he suffered yet another relapse.

He is extremely weak. He comes to my door looking for food, but you can clearly see he has no strength left. His body is exhausted, his immune system is already at its limit, and life on the streets only makes things worse.

Without kibble, it’s certain… this time, he won’t recover. He needs to eat to keep going, to fight the infections, to survive. He is exactly the kind of cat who won’t last long without help."

4. Unpaid bills, delayed care, declining donations: without this campaign, the cats will have no more kibble.

###

"My financial situation is very fragile. I calculate every expense… down to the last cent. Between food, veterinary care and medication, I just can’t keep up anymore. And lately, donations have dropped significantly, which makes everything even harder.

I have outstanding veterinary and pharmacy bills, because many cats have fallen ill recently. I’ve tried asking for help, contacting organizations, sharing… but I haven’t received any response. Apart from a small Belgian association that helps me from time to time with bills, I’m completely alone facing all of this.

Today, I have to make choices… decide which cat to treat first, postpone certain care, ration the food. It’s extremely hard. I have no other solutions left. This campaign is essential: without kibble, I won’t be able to do anything for the stray cats."

5. Kawthar is not asking for money, only for kibble to prevent the cats from starving.

###

"My relationship with animals is very simple: I live for them! My whole day revolves around the cats: their food, their condition, their care… it’s a constant responsibility, from morning to night. But it’s also very heavy to carry. There are moments when I’m exhausted, physically and mentally, when I don’t know how to keep going.

Here, the situation of stray cats is very difficult. There are many abandonments, not enough sterilizations, and a lack of resources at every level. The hardest part is seeing them starving, sick, in distress… and not being able to do everything they need. That’s a reality I live with every single day.

I keep going because they only have me. But alone, I can’t make it. Donor support is essential: every donation helps feed them, care for them, give them a chance. Without this help, I’m stuck. Today, you can truly change their lives."

When a campaign fails, Animal Webaction cannot deliver the products. The beneficiary doesn't receive anything and the buyers are refunded.

8. In Morocco, donors are scarce, and there are no foundations or subsidies. It is very difficult to find funding for kibble, many cats are left to starve on the street!
