Animal Webaction visited the site 12 April 2026 and confirms the situation described below.

"Right now, things are getting really difficult at the shelter. We take care of around 50 dogs, and even though some have recently been adopted, others keep arriving nonstop, often injured or sick. We can’t just turn a blind eye, so we keep taking them in… but then we have to find a way to feed them all. And now, I’ve had to cut back on portions over the past few days because our kibble supply is almost gone.
We’re doing what we can to make up for it with table scraps, but it’s not enough. Kibble is still essential, especially for the more fragile dogs or those recovering. I can clearly see that I’m not able to give them what they truly need, and it causes me a huge amount of anxiety, because their health depends directly on it!
I’m constantly stressed. I don’t know how I’m going to manage in the coming days to keep feeding everyone properly. I’ve already been through a time when I had to give them bread with water, just so they’d have something in their stomachs… and that’s something I never want to go through again. Today, I’m truly afraid of facing that situation once more."

"For now, we’re still holding on, but I can already see the limits. I can’t provide a diet that’s rich and appropriate enough, especially for the dogs who need it most. And that has a direct impact: their recovery is slower, their condition doesn’t improve as it should.
The sick and elderly dogs are the hardest hit. Without quality nutrition, their immune systems can’t cope, and everything becomes more complicated. Sometimes, I feel like I’m doing everything I can… but it’s still not enough, just because one essential element is missing: proper food, in sufficient quantities.
If this continues, I know I won’t be able to help them the way I do today. I won’t be able to get them back on their feet properly, or give them a real chance of being adopted. And that’s very hard to accept, because for them, we are their only chance!"

"Zimo is a dog who touches me deeply. He was rescued after his owner passed away. Overnight, he found himself alone, with no one to take care of him, and he was going to be sent to the pound with euthanasia… so I took him in.
Today, Zimo is very fragile. He has skin problems that require treatment, but progress is slow because of his age. He is also very affected emotionally: he was deeply attached to his former owner, and you can feel that he is sad, a bit lost, as if he is still trying to understand what happened to him.
He is a dog who truly needs stability, care… and above all, good nutrition. Kibble is essential to strengthen his immunity and help him get better. Without it, his condition could deteriorate very quickly. For him, as for the others, kibble is truly a matter of survival!"

"Financially, things are very tough right now. Donations have dropped a lot, and they are less regular. Last month, we barely managed to cover salaries. We also have about 1,500 euros in debt with veterinarians, and for food, we have to pay immediately, otherwise we can’t buy anything.
I constantly have to make impossible choices. Do I pay for urgent medical care, or do I buy food? Either way, there are consequences. We’ve already had to postpone certain treatments, reduce care, and even limit specialized food for sick dogs… which is very hard.
We are really trying to find solutions, to rally people around us, even to ask institutions for help… but we’re not getting any response. This kibble drive, today, is truly what could allow us to keep going. Without it, I don’t see how we will continue."

"My life revolves around these dogs. Here, the situation for animals is very difficult. There is no real protection, abandonment is common, and many dogs live in terrible conditions. When I see them arrive, I can’t pretend I didn’t see them.
Over time, this work has changed me deeply. The dogs have taught me to hold on, to keep going no matter what. But it’s a constant battle. I am exhausted, physically and mentally. There is this constant pressure to manage everything, to save the shelter, to feed everyone… sometimes it feels like a bottomless pit.
I keep going, because when I see them happy, or when they leave with a family, it gives me the strength to move forward. And every bit of help truly matters. Giving kibble is not just feeding a dog… it’s giving them a chance to heal, to regain strength, to live. Alone, I can’t do this. I need you to keep fighting for them."
