Animal Webaction visited the site 16 April 2026 and confirms the situation described below.

"Out in the field, the situation is already deeply worrying. The street dogs are not getting enough to eat. I am forced to make heartbreaking choices: I have stopped feeding many of the dogs we had identified, and I can no longer help the dogs belonging to poor families either. Only the most vulnerable dogs are still getting a little food.
We can already see the consequences. Some have lost weight, they are growing weaker. If I cannot find kibble, their health will keep deteriorating. And they will be forced to leave their territories to look for food elsewhere. That is very dangerous for them... And it is a constant source of anguish for me.
A battle for survival lies ahead of them: fights, injuries... This campaign has to succeed, because the thought of my children dying of hunger is unbearable. God willing, things will get better. I have to stay positive; even though I am scared to death..."

"Linda was hit by a car. She still suffers severe aftereffects: she struggles to walk properly, and her disability makes her extremely vulnerable.
On the street, a dog has to be able to run away, defend itself, and search for food. Linda cannot. Every movement is an effort. She is very timid, gentle, almost invisible... and that is exactly what puts her in danger. She does not dare fight for food.
If I can no longer bring her kibble, Linda has no chance at all. She depends entirely on us to survive. Without kibble, she will quickly grow weaker, and on the street, that means certain death..."

"At the shelter, the situation is just as alarming. Supplies are running out, and with 650 dogs to feed, the pressure is overwhelming. We count every handful of kibble...
We are also facing serious health problems. Recently, a viral pneumonia outbreak hit the shelter. We had to take dogs to the vet every single day for injections. We lost one of our old-timers, and another is still fighting for his life...
For lack of funds, we even had to delay parasite treatments. The dogs were infested with ticks... Thankfully, one-off help allowed us to act, but it shows just how close to the edge we are! Today, I have to choose between buying food and paying the vet, even though both are essential. It is unbearable..."

"Our financial situation is getting worse by the day. Monthly donations are declining, costs are rising: fuel, food, veterinary care... everything is becoming more expensive. We have huge debts, especially with the vet and our kibble supplier. I have not been able to pay the vet for 3 months, even though we need daily care for the dogs...
We have had to make heartbreaking decisions, such as drastically cutting back on rescues, or reducing the feeding of stray dogs. We have reached out for help, submitted funding applications, but those are long processes. And in the meantime, the dogs still need to eat every day!
We are going into debt just to maintain the bare minimum, but this cannot go on forever. The dogs need food right now, they need medical care. And we desperately need a helping hand... Without support, everything we have built for these animals is at risk!"

"These animals are my whole life. Every dog I look at becomes my baby. They are precious, sacred, and it is my duty to protect them. I have sacrificed everything for them: my home, my work... I built this shelter with everything I had. And today, despite all the hardship, I keep going.
But it is an emotional roller coaster. I am constantly worried. "If I cannot pay for food, how will they eat?"; "If I cannot pay for care, how will they heal?". There are moments of immense happiness, when a dog wags its tail, when I see their progress. But there is also pain, loss, and the constant fear of not being able to provide for them.
In Morocco, the situation is very difficult. Many people are already living in poverty and cannot help. That is why international support is essential. Your donation can change everything. It can fill their bowls, save lives, and allow me to keep fighting for them..."
