Gum pain, pus-filled eyes and mouth, weight loss: poor Chât is saddled with cat flu and calicivirus!

1. He's in poor health…

Chat is a cat of around two years old, who has calicivirus and cat flu. His eyes are always watery and he struggles to eat, because the inside of his mouth is inflamed and sometimes full of pus… The poor thing is so skinny!

As he is very shy, we find it difficult to catch him for treatment. Therefore, we put tablets in his food, hoping that this will give him some relief…

2. He lives outside…

Chat lives in the countryside, within a garden. The area is very exposed to winds, which makes winters particularly harsh for him…

3. He needs canned food to gain weight

A wet and easy-to-absorb diet would encourage Chat to eat regularly. Rich in good nutrients, this kind of food would supply the energy he needs to better withstand the winter cold and to gain weight.

4. A calicivirus outbreak is sweeping through our protectees…

Our association receives very little in donations. With thirty cats to look after, new ones coming in, and a calicivirus outbreak, we're starting to run low on funds for food…
