1. A virus makes eating challenging...

Okao is a four-year-old cat suffering from calicivirus. His eyes are crusted over and he struggles to eat due to occasional painful gums... He's dreadfully skinny!

Okao is very shy, which makes it difficult for us to catch him and tend to his health. We thus resort to adding medication to his food, hoping it would alleviate his pain...

2. His home is the great outdoors!

Okao lives out in the countryside, in someone's garden. It’s a severely wind-exposed area, which makes the winters particularly challenging...

3. Okao needs canned food to gain strength

A moist and easy-to-swallow diet would encourage Okao to eat regularly. This type of food, being rich in valuable nutrients, would provide him with the energy necessary to withstand the intense winter cold and regain his strength.

4. A calicivirus epidemic is wreaking havoc amongst our wards!

Our charity receives very few donations. With around thirty cats to care for, new ones needing help, and a raging calicivirus epidemic, we are starting to run low on food funds...
