Toothless, old and ill, poor Mitha lives in the cold!

1. She has a severe calicivirus!

Mitha is a 16-year-old cat suffering from a severe calicivirus. Her gums are incredibly inflamed causing drooling and loss of teeth. Dry food, unfortunately, is no longer an option for her. Poor Mitha also struggles to groom herself anymore, her fur becoming quite matted in the process.

2. She doesn't have a proper shelter...

Tragically, Mitha lives outdoors, in the country, on agricultural land. In this remote place, she doesn't really have a proper shelter. The styrofoam boxes we provided as a makeshift shelter, unfortunately, let in water.

3. In order to keep eating, she will need canned food.

Wet food specially adapted to her age would be perfect for Mitha. Easy to swallow and rich in essential vitamins, it would give her the energy she needs to cope with her outdoor life. This would certainly bring her some comfort!

4. We are bound by our limited resources!

With winter, many of our charges have become ill. The cost of their medical care has stretched our finances to the limit, depriving us of the means to supply them with specialised food, blankets and the shelters they need.
