Maiki is a cat of about 6 years old, born to a wild mother. Trapped with his family when he was just 2.5 months old, he was diagnosed with feline eosinophilic granuloma complex. His entire family was adopted... except for him, as his condition is costly and difficult to manage.
Maiki's disease is marked by lesions and granulomas on his body, particularly on his chin, under his armpits and along his thighs. These granulomas itch, pull and bleed. It's painful and challenging on a daily basis, making him nervous and stressed...
High-quality grain-free canned food would help Maïki maintain his gut microbiota and support his immune system, which is already under significant strain due to his autoimmune disease. This would be a good way to help him stay strong despite the daily discomfort caused by his lesions.
We take care of many cats in long-term foster homes, as they are too ill or too wild to be adopted. We also manage the feeding and care of numerous stray cats that we have identified and sterilised. Our only income comes from small sales, occasional pet sitting, and a single sponsorship... Without grants or adoptions, we struggle enormously to meet the costs...
