Lya had to undergo emergency surgery after her neck abscess burst!

1. She was found with a large abscess in her neck that had just burst...

Lya is an approximately five year old cat, found at a feeding site with a burst abscess in her neck. The wound was massive!

We rushed her for immediate surgery and then placed her on a course of antibiotics to prevent the scar from becoming infected. She is currently recovering well in a foster home.

2. To recover, she is going to need canned food

A diet rich in good proteins would allow Lya to effectively recharge her energy on a daily basis. It would also be a good way to keep her hydrated and give her her medicines.

3. Donations are virtually nonexistent...

We have hardly any donations, and have had to pay for care costs out of our own pockets. Therefore, we don't have enough money left to buy more food and blankets! Unfortunately, our resources are running out...
