Tired kidneys, heart problems: poor Nounours is very weakened!

1. He has heart problems!

Nounours is a cat of around 15 years old, who arrived at our shelter a few years ago. He is starting to get frail and suffers from a thickening of the internal walls of his heart.

This causes him distressing breathing difficulties, as well as fluid in his abdomen... We are therefore administering treatment to alleviate his discomfort.

2. His kidneys are no longer working optimally...

With age, Nounours has also developed chronic kidney failure. We are thus giving him medication to lower his urea levels, with the aim of slowing down the progression of the disease.

3. Blankets would provide him with precious comfort

In order to maintain his body heat at night, despite his old age, Nounours could really use a set of blankets. He could snuggle into them and enjoy a bit of softness, contributing to more peaceful twilight years.

4. The crisis is directly impacting us!

Many of our charges are sick, and new arrivals have turned up in very poor condition too.

With nearly 80 cats to care for, veterinary appointments are piling up, and so are the expenses... Sadly, our in-store collections aren't up to scratch!
