1. In France, Catherine has almost no kibble left to feed the 149 street cats who depend on her... The poor things could starve to death!

"Not long ago, a lady moved away and abandoned her 22 cats, leaving them with us. That meant just as many extra mouths to feed, when things were already stretched to the breaking point! No fewer than 149 free-roaming cats across 9 feeding sites now rely on my organization for their meals...

Sadly, I only have one week of kibble left in stock, and the cats have already been on rations for a month and a half. Every time I arrive at a site, they're starving... Weakened by the heat and the harsh conditions of life outdoors, they won't make it if we have nothing left to give them!"

2. Abandonments, vet bills, dwindling donations and memberships... The organization is facing an unprecedented crisis!

"With the financial crisis, the price of kibble has nearly doubled! And that's without counting the vet bills to treat sick animals. At the same time, we have fewer and fewer members...

"Câlin is an eight-year-old cat who was abandoned and whom no one ever wanted to adopt. So he lives on the street, even though his health is very fragile. The poor boy has a large inoperable hernia on his belly that could rupture at any moment...

"I sleep very badly at night because I worry about the cats' future. I can't count on my meager pension to help them, or on subsidies, which are nonexistent. And since I'm ill, it's very hard for me to organize fundraising activities.

On top of that, people care less and less about animal welfare... Many people look down on what we do. Without me, these cats will have no one to look after them!"
