Poor Gitane is struggling to properly digest her food because her teeth are damaged...

1. Her teeth are severely damaged...

Gitane is a 28-year-old mare, who struggles with the intense heat. She's also sustained an injury in the pasture, but we've managed to treat it. Despite being given unlimited hay, her teeth are so badly worn with age that they prevent her from properly digesting the food. Hence, she needs a dietary supplement.

2. Pellets would help her stay healthy

A diet rich and easily ingested, like moistened pellets, would be invaluable for Gitane. It would allow her to load up on nutrients each day and maintain her fitness, despite her damaged teeth.

3. The drought is a significant worry for us!

In the south, we've been through a major heatwave. The extreme heat has had a profound impact on the health of our oldest charges. It also means that there's been no grass in the fields for a long time, and therefore less food naturally available for them...
