We thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for your donations and your clicks! We also thank the Animal Webaction team.
Our main source of income is our shop in Amélie-les-Bains: we sell all sorts of items and second-hand clothes (from donations) at very affordable prices, volunteers run the shop, and the turnover is entirely donated to the association. Unfortunately, our customers are less and less rich! Moreover, food collections in front of supermarkets are almost not allowed anymore... Without you, how could we manage?
Also, an accident that occurred during the night of Sunday to Monday, March 21st - 22nd, has greatly disturbed us: a tree fell on the roof of the building following a violent storm. Fortunately, no one was hurt! On the other hand, a few kittens used the branches as bridges to escape...
- Disappearance -
Some of the more daring cats have the habit of escaping from the "CatsBlock" by climbing the fence, but those who escaped were not used to it. We were able to recover almost all of them, but two are still missing: a cat for whom we had launched a campaign last year and Ollie, that's why I can't send you any pictures of her. We are very worried because we have not seen them again.
- Death notice -
Another bad news: the little Jimmy was euthanized on Tuesday, March 23rd, he had an FIP (infectious viral peritonitis), a disease that affects very young or very old cats. The little angel was not even one year old. So you will not have a picture of Jimmy either.
The food provided for Jimmy will be useful for one of our old free cats who has health problems and that we now keep at the "CatsBlock" where he will end his life. We hope to find Ollie, otherwise his boxes will be used to feed another cat who has important health problems (a tumor in the throat) and who can no longer eat kibble.
THANK YOU AGAIN FOR HELPING US SO KINDLY!!!
Feel free to ask for pictures or place any request!
Ella : On the picture, Ella is not eating because she is full and she is also very shy, she does not like to be taken in picture! Otherwise, she is becoming more and more sociable and seems much less traumatised than when she arrived.
Ollie : Ollie has remained very fearful. Following the accident I told you about in my comment, she disappeared. She was very withdrawn, maybe she was very scared, we are very worried!!!
Bellissima : Bellissima is becoming sociable, she has a good appetite, she is very playful, she gets along well with other cats and seems happy at ChatLM
Jimmy : Jimmy had a viral illness (P.I.F.). He was hospitalized, then placed in foster care, then hospitalized again to be put to sleep. His disease was incurable and he died within two weeks!
